Pop art is like the bad-ass older brother of the fine art world. It began in the 1950s as a British trend and made its way to the states in the form of Andy Warhol among others. Pop art has the ability to take elements of our culture out of context and infuse new life into seemingly ordinary objects. It prompts us to think about the concepts that led to the conception of the piece, rather than the piece itself. Pop art is making a presence in the decor world as well (not to mention, it's already October and that means the holidays are upon us). Here are some of my favorites:
