I love street style photos like it's nobody's business.  But sometimes those girls look so angry/annoyed/hungry and it kind of ruins the whole look.  While that cozy sweater with simple black skirt is something I definitely want to try out, it was her smile that made me take a closer look at this photo.  So share the happy, and smile more often today...and maybe someone will give you a closer look.  (For more Street Style looks, check my Pinterest board, Outfit Inspiration)

Another week has come and gone!  I'm super excited to spend some time at the White Elephant Sale this weekend in Oakland with my friend, Nicole.  For you Bay Area folks, you should totally join in on the fun!  The event is hosted by the Oakland Museum Women's Board, with all proceeds from the event going back to the museum.  The sale lasts Saturday and Sunday from 10am-4pm.  Get the rest of the details here. Rumor has it that you can find Frye boots for $5, and Jimmy Choo's for $30.  Unheard of, right?  I'm on the hunt for some huge frames, vintage artwork, and a starburst mirror.  Wish me luck!

Last night's SF blogger meet-up was a big success.  On top of scoring these Elva Fields earrings, I met some totally awesome ladies (and hopefully improved on my socially awkward networking skills).  I attended the event solo, which when combined with navigating through San Francisco in the rain, left me flustered and disheveled with I got the event.  BUT, I'm so thrilled I took the chance to put myself out there, and want to give a quick shout-out to some of the peeps I finally got to meet in person, or just heard of for the first time!

Friday is here again.  Normally I would insert some cheery anecdote about my plans for the weekend, but it's just one of those days, and the weather, on top of a million other things, are weighing me down.  All I want to do is crawl into that bed and resume sleeping.  I am looking forward to the bf coming into town today (he always comes up with the silliest ways to cheer me up) but what are your "go-to's" for getting out of a funk?  I promise next week I'll resume to my normal posting and commenting and tweeting!

Another week as flown by!  How is it already Friday? (not that I'm complaining or anything though!)  I'm loving these Parisian inspired photos.  Talk about a perfect day taking on Paris via bike and stopping at every bookstore you see.  A girl can dream, right?  Any exciting plans for the weekend?  I'm headed to my hometown to see family and hopefully get a few things finished that I have been putting off (like my taxes...bleh).  I'll quit my rambling for now and let you get to these amazing little links.  Happy Friday, friends!

I'll be searching for inspiration this weekend like that little lady above as I begin to re-decorate my room.  I'm hoping a few thrifty fixes here and there can add a bit of personality to my otherwise boring boudoir. Now, 2 items of business....

I've got blue and gold on my mind these days.  Not only because I love this color combination, but because I found out I was accepted into UCLA's MBA program!  Yep, that's right, it's bizniz time.  I'm so excited to go back to school and start this new chapter in my life.  Not to mention, the bf and I will FINALLY be in the same city.  So, this thrifty gal will be packing up shop at the end of summer 2011 and heading to the city of angels.  Time to return to my California public school roots and sport some blue and gold.
